As a Community Transit Driver in the City of Langley, you’ll safely connect passengers to their destinations while delivering exceptional customer service. What You’ll Do:

  • Safely transport passengers according to established policies.
  • Maintain clear radio contact with base using proper protocols.
  • Operate shuttle vehicles safely in all weather and road conditions.
  • Provide information and courteous assistance to passengers.
  • Manage passenger behavior by effectively solving problems.
  • Report on vehicle maintenance issues, emergencies, and schedule concerns.
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle checks.
  • Complete required paperwork and assist with driver coverage.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Valid Class 4 driver’s license or higher.
  • Clear driver’s abstract.
  • Clear criminal record and vulnerable sector check.
  • Negative drug and alcohol test.
  • Strong knowledge of Langley and the surrounding area.
  • Physical ability to push/pull wheelchairs up and down a ramp or onto a lift.
  • Organized, punctual, reliable, and possessing excellent driving skills.
  • Calm, upbeat, and helpful demeanor with strong communication skills.

Bonus Points if You Have:

  • Previous taxi or shuttle driving experience.
  • Class 2Q driver’s license.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive wage of $30.69 per hour.
  • Paid training at $18.58 per hour.
  • A supportive, family-oriented team environment.
  • Unionized position: Unifor Local 114
  • Flexible casual, on-call basis with future opportunities for part-time and full-time roles.
  • Service will operate 7 days per week between the hours of 5:00 am to 9:45 pm
