We’ve known for some time that difficulties in recruiting personnel are real and affect most industries. At Keolis, we are committed to providing a safe and reliable service that meets the needs of our passengers, and to achieve this, we need more drivers. Their work is essential to our collective goal of optimizing the public transit system to improve our quality of life and the environment. It is in this spirit that our teams mobilized over the last few months to find innovative ways to optimize the recruitment process and promote the profession of driver. From there was born the Have a Seat Blitz, a series of job fairs at our various facilities in Terrebonne, Repentigny, Dorval, Quebec City and Waterloo.
Far from being a simple open house, these days offered future candidates the opportunity to meet our teams, complete the various hiring procedures on site and leave with a job offer! A warm welcome with coffee and pastries, company presentation, interview, medical and driving test, discussion with our recruiters, everything was there! Since the end of August, we have succeeded in setting up 11 such events with more than 300 interested candidates and nearly 100 new colleagues.
In addition to these events, we were also present at the Journée de l’emploi de Laval, the Foire nationale de l’emploi de Montréal and the Salon Carrière Formation de Québec. Thanks to the dedication of our employees who invested time and energy, as well as to all the people who came to participate in our events, we can say mission accomplished for this great recruitment season.
